The Top 100 EMS Firms, Mostly

Reed Business has published its annual list of the largest contract assemblers. Inevitabily, the list contains its share of errors. For example, No. 76 ACT Electronics is credited with three facilities in the U.S. and one offshore; actually all four of the company’s plants are in the U.S. And No. 78 Gul Technologies makes bare boards, not assemblies. The list omits Cirtronics, whose sales would be safely inside the minimum to make the list. Some of the revenue estimates are either highly questionable or outright wrong as well.

But even with the mistakes, this list is always good fun to review, even if we can’t accept it all as hard fact.
